Indore Surgeons Research Foundation honoured Dr. Dilip Kumar Acharya with Life time Achievement Award during Annual Conference of Indore City Chapter of ASI on 22nd March, 2026.
The award was given away by Dr.RK Mathur-Chairman Trustee, Dr.Narendra Patidar-Secretary Trustee of the foundation, Dr Rakesh Shivhare- president MP Chapter, Dr Akshay Sharma-Secretary – MP Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India,Dr.Manish Khasgiwala-Chairman , Dr.Nikunj Jain -Secy.Indore City Chapter, ASI , Dr. Apoorva Choudhary, Incoming Chairman & Dr. Pranav Mandovra-incoming Secretary were also present. Dr Advait Prakash was the master of ceremony.
Dr.Narendra Patidar,Secretary trustee read the Citation & informed that the award is being given to a senior surgeon of the city who has put in more than 25 years of dedicated service to the ailing patients and for his contribution to the surgical association activities. The award was started in 2005 and has so far been given to Dr.CL Nagrath, Dr.VK Agrawal, Dr.KC Sharma, Dr.LS Sharma, Dr.KL Bandi, Dr.SK Bandi, Dr.GC Pahadia, Dr.YK Vyas, Dr.SK Shukla, Dr.RV Paliwal, Dr. BR Parekh, Dr.KK Trivedi, Dr.RK Lahoti, Dr.PK Banerjee, Dr.DK Jain, Dr.BK Sharma, Dr.Ashok Ladha, Dr.CP Kothari & Dr. C.S.Chamania.
Dr. Dilip Kumar Acharya, a senior Surgeon of Indore, did his UG & PG in surgery from MGM Medical College, Indore. He has been President of Indore & MP Chapter- Association of Surgeons of India & Indian Medical Association, GC member of ASI. He is Past President & Patron of Alumni Association of MGM Medical College. Indore. Dr. Acharya has received lot many awards namely ASI National Social Service Award, IMA National President’s Award etc etc.at the city, state & national level. He has organized many conferences and after retirement from Govt where he worked as Civil Surgeon & Surgical Specialist, he is presently working as the Adjunct Professor of Surgery at Sri Aurobindo Medical College.
Dr. Acharya, later, shared his golden memories, paid tribute to his teachers, his family and above all his patients and thanked all ISRF trustees and surgeons of Indore for the honour bestowed upon him. Indore Surgeons & many IMA members have congratulated Dr. Acharya for getting this prestigious honour.
